Kate Riley

Hi, I'm Kate. I'm an endorsed midwife and registered nurse. I've been working in West Gippsland for several years as a midwife, in the local public hospital, and now more recently at Bloomfield Midwifery. Alongside my work as a midwife, I live on and manage a 350-cow dairy farm with my partner and 3 children.

I was drawn to nursing from a young age, specifically women's health, after witnessing my mum's battle with breast cancer. I completed the double degree in nursing and midwifery through Federation University in 2017, and it was there I fell in love with midwifery.

I worked full time in the public system where I found continuity of care with women was my passion. I worked in the antenatal clinic, birth suites, postnatal ward and did home visits, trying to craft a "continuity of care" experience for the women I met, but it was never fully possible due to the shift work and rostering system.

I had my first baby in 2021, and a short 18 months later had my daughter in 2023. I left these birth experiences with trauma. I knew that I couldn’t go back to working in the hospital system again so sought something more. I was missing the midwifery work and wanted to do something to fill my cup that was actually meaningful. I completed my endorsement, and in 2024 launched Bloomfield Midwifery. My goal was small, to support local women during their pregnancy and postpartum. Building trust and confidence in themselves as they began their journey to motherhood.

I was fortunate to fall pregnant with our 3rd baby in 2025 and had the most healing home birth and postpartum experience. All because of continuity of care. I’m now back from maternity leave and my passion is a strong as ever. I believe every woman’s experience is unique, and deserves personalised care. I look forward to supporting as many families as I can through pregnancy and postpartum at Warragul Natural Health.

ALLY MOULDS

I’m an endorsed midwife with several years of experience in both hospital and private midwifery. I enjoy the relationships built with women and families through the continuity of care model. I am committed to helping women make informed choices about their care and supporting them to have a positive journey from conception through to parenthood. It doesn’t matter to me whether you want a home birth, an elective caesarean, breastfeed or formula feed; as long as you have the information and guidance you need.

I have been trained by Fiona Hallinan in internal pelvic release work - this is something I feel is profoundly beneficial to women in all stages of life, particularly in pregnancy. Outside of work, I’m a mum to two little people, living on a little pocket of land with animals and lots to keep me busy outside.
